Peter M. Brooke, Of Counsel in KHL's Miami office, is a real estate and corporate attorney with over 50 years of experience, specializing in real property law. He represents clients in the areas of state and federal land sales, condominium and community associating regulations, conceptual planning of large-scale condominium and community association projects, and the representation of lending institutions involved in real estate development. His clients include foreign and domestic buyers, foreign and domestic sellers, and lending institutions.

Peter's breadth of experience has allowed him to realize that no two transactions are the same, and whether complex or routine, the only common denominator is grounded on an understanding of the individuality of the client and the desire and ability to serve the needs of that client. He lives by the motto that the world needs lawyers who actually care about people.

Prior to working at KHL Law, Peter was Vice-President and Senior Counsel of a publicly-traded community developer and was in private practice at various firms. In 1982, he became a founding partner at a boutique law firm in Coral Gables, Florida, which, after 17 years of existence, merged into the prominent state-wide firm of Fowler White Burnett. He started his career as Associate General Counsel of Mondex, a subsidiary of a publicly-traded company involved in interstate land sales, with duties ranging from general corporate legal responsibilities to handling state and federal land registrations.

Peter earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1971 and his undergraduate degree from Queens College in 1967. He also attended classes at the University of Vienna, Austria. He is admitted to practice in Florida state courts. Born and raised in New York, he was previously a member of the New York State bar.

Peter is Martindale Hubbell "AV Peer Review Rated" and was previously Board Certified in Real Property Law. He is the Director and President of Concerned Citizens of Doral Park. Additionally, he is a member of the Real Property Law Section of the American Bar Association and was a former President and Director of the National Land Council. He has lectured at the University of Miami Institute on Condominium and Cluster Development, numerous National Land Council conferences, and at the National Business Institute Seminar on Developing and Operating Planned Communities and Condominiums.
