Mason Pertnoy is a Partner at Krinzman Huss Lubetsky Feldman & Hotte, and is a proven leader with over 15 years of civil litigation experience. Mr. Pertnoy excels at litigation strategy and creative problem solving, through which he is able to gain a decisive edge for his clients. He is accomplished in all aspects of litigation case management and strategy from inception through completion, including daily motion practice, taking and defending depositions, mediation, and trial. Mr. Pertnoy is well versed in negotiating and preparing contracts concerning a multitude of complex commercial transactions and real estate transactions.

Accomplishments

  • Named by the South Florida Daily Business Review as 2019’s Most Effective Lawyer in Class Action/Mass Tort for successfully obtaining a settlement in excess of $200 million dollars of monetary and non-monetary benefits for over 12,000 class members in a deceptive trade practice class action.

  • Represented a Security company’s officer in a trade secret, tortious interference, conspiracy litigation in the U.S. Southern District Court of Ohio in which Motion to Dismiss filed on behalf of the officer was granted as to all claims.

  • Represented Italian immigrants and obtained Final Summary Judgment in excess of $400,000.00 for conversion and negligence.

  • Represented a national Security company in favorably settling a nationwide Fair Credit Reporting Act Class Action.

  • Represented and obtained a dismissal with prejudice of all claims filed against officers of life insurance brokerage company for misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference and conspiracy.

  • Represented the owner of an oil and gas company in a $4 million dollar sale of the company’s assets and real estate.

  • Represented AIG insurance companies as coverage counsel in numerous Declaratory Judgment actions concerning additional insured coverage issues.

  • Successfully represented a real estate development group in multiple foreclosure actions brought by a lender, which resulted in client being released from $60 Million dollars of liability and receiving a substantial settlement payment.

  • Successfully represented City of Miami Mayor and City of Miami Commissioner as class representatives in a Class Action against the Florida Department of Transportation over the funding for a "signature bridge" for I-395.

  • Successfully represented former insurance company executives in a white-collar criminal law matter brought by the Florida State Attorney and obtained a dismissal with prejudice of a civil claim in excess of $84 million brought by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

  • Successfully represented a client in a strategic consent to foreclosure resulting in the client saving $1 million.

  • Successfully defended a client in a legal malpractice and intentional tort matter which resulted in a jury verdict in favor of the client on all counts.

  • Successfully represented a former executive officer in a partnership dispute resulting in a multi-million dollar settlement for the client and a release of all claims against the client.

  • Retained by the Florida Insurance Guaranty Association (FIGA) to provide insurance coverage analysis concerning an NFL players class action lawsuit.
