Martin G. Zilber is a Partner in KHL's Miami office and a former Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge. A large portion of Martin's practice is devoted to serving in neutral roles, including mediator, arbitrator, receiver, umpire, special master, special magistrate, fee expert and private judge. He also provides litigation support to attorneys for jury selection, motions and trial analysis.

As a former Circuit Court Judge, Martin presided over hundreds of jury trials, non-jury trials, motions and hearings, which allows him to bring a unique judicial perspective to every matter. He uses this firsthand experience to craft more effective litigation strategies as he knows how judges evaluate arguments, weigh evidence, and make decisions. His neutral roles further enhance his ability to assess cases objectively and navigate complex disputes from multiple perspectives—advocate, advisor, and former judge.

Prior to joining KHL Law, Martin served as a Circuit Court Judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit for 7 years, presiding over a wide range of matters in the civil, criminal, family, and dependency divisions. He began his legal career working as a certified legal intern in the Miami Dade County State Attorney's Office and then went to work as in house General Counsel to several transportation and healthcare companies, where he managed insurance litigation, labor law hearings, and represented his clients in front of several governmental and administrative bodies. In 1997, he became Vice-President of Mergers and Acquisitions for a Coach U.S.A., a publicly traded company, traveling throughout the United States negotiating private business acquisitions and followed that by returning to private practice serving as Of Counsel and Partner to a Miami law firm, while also serving as General Counsel and Partner to multiple other companies simultaneously.

Martin earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1988 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1984. Martin is admitted to practice in Florida state courts. Martin was also a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Martin is extremely active in the community, previously serving as an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College and FIU, a Judicial Director / board member of the University of Miami School of Law, as a member of the Jackson Hospital Public Health Trust, as vice chair of the Miami Dade County's Cultural Affairs Council, and as an elected Councilman for the Village of Coconut Grove. He is currently serving as Board Member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and the Children's Home Society and is an active member of the Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and Miami Dade Trial Lawyers. He is a past board member or officer of the City of Miami Code Enforcement Board, Transportation Disadvantaged Commission, and Taxicab, Limousine, and Paratransit Association, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and Super Bowl XXIX and XXXIII Host Committee.
