John ("Jay") B. Rosenquest IV, a Partner in KHL's Miami office, is a commercial litigator with a diverse practice focused on complex business and real estate disputes. He represents clients in a wide range of matters, including partnership disputes, title and real estate litigation, judgment collection, and post-judgment proceedings. Jay has experience handling both large, international disputes and smaller matters, bringing the same strategic foresight, risk assessment, and client-focused advocacy to every case.
Jay's breadth of experience gives him a practical, business-minded perspective and the ability to tailor his approach to each client's unique needs. Known for his problem-solving mindset, he enjoys tackling complex legal challenges and guiding clients through difficult situations. Fluent in Spanish, Jay is also able to effectively communicate with and represent a broader range of clients.
Prior to joining KHL Law, Jay operated a solo practice for 10 years, after spending another decade in "Big Law" at an international, AmLaw-100 law firm in Miami, Florida. Earlier in his career, Jay worked as a teacher in a bilingual high school program, where he developed curriculum and honed the communication skills that now serve him in the courtroom and in client counseling.
Jay earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Memphis in 2005, where he served on the Law Review and the competitive Trial Advocacy Team. He received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College, where he served as captain of the swim team. He is admitted to practice in Florida state courts, as well as the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Court.
Outside of his practice, Jay is a devoted father of two daughters and an avid live music enthusiast, who enjoys traveling the country attending concerts. He is also a passionate sports fan, supporting the New Orleans Saints, the New York Yankees, and the U.S. National Soccer Teams.
