Mason A. Pertnoy, a Partner in KHL's Miami office, is a seasoned civil litigator who represents corporations, entrepreneurs, executives, and industry professionals across sectors including real estate and development, banking, insurance, oil and gas, aviation, restaurants, and healthcare. He represents clients in a wide range of matters, including complex commercial litigation, class action defense, insurance coverage analysis and defense, and high-stakes real estate or corporate transactions. He also has experience with constitutional Homestead protection, 1983 litigations, defamation cases and commercial landlord tenant litigation.

Mason is frequently retained to design litigation strategies that protect business assets, resolve partnership conflicts, and achieve favorable results in both state and federal courts. He is accomplished in all aspects of litigation case management and strategy from inception through completion, including daily motion practice, taking and defending depositions, mediation, and trial and is well-versed in negotiating and preparing contracts concerning a multitude of complex commercial transactions and real estate transactions.

Mason distinguishes himself through his ability to blend legal precision with creative problem solving and has a track record of multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients. Mason earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island in 2002 and his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in 1997. He is admitted to practice in Washington and Florida state courts.

Additionally, Mason is an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law. He was also a panelist for "Practicing with Professionalism" at the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division-Law Student Division, The 'Winning Edge' Event. He was named by the South Florida Daily Business Review as 2019's Most Effective Lawyer in Class Action/Mass Tort for successfully obtaining a settlement in excess of $200 million dollars of monetary and non-monetary benefits for over 12,000 class members in a deceptive trade practice class action.
