Benny A. Ortiz is an Associate in the firm's Miami Litigation Group and concentrates his practice on real estate litigation with particular emphasis on representing title insurance underwriters and their insured.
In addition, Mr. Ortiz has litigated, tried and otherwise successfully prosecuted and defended cases representing some of the nation’s largest financial institutions, banks and servicers throughout the State of Florida as their interests pertain to real property, creditor rights and lien priority disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ortiz’s practice spanned commercial and residential transactional law, shared-use community law, trademark and pharmaceutical litigation.
Mr. Ortiz holds a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences in International Relations (2003) as well as a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law (2006). He was awarded a half-tuition merit scholarship to Boston University School of Law and was a participant in the Edward C. Stone Moot Court competition. Mr. Ortiz is admitted to the Florida Bar.
